AD ၁၇၉၇ ခုနှစ်တွင် Member of Asiatic Society အဖွဲ့တွင် Baronet,Governor, The Honourable  Sir John Shore နာယကအဖြစ် ပါဝင်သော ဘက်စုံပညာရှင်ပေါင်း (၁၅၀)တို့ သုတေသန ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ကြသော စာတမ်း တွင် Languages of Burma  Empireခေါင်းစဉ် အောက်ရှိ

-The Mohammedans settles at Arakan call the country Rovingaw,the Persians
call it Rekan .(မွတ်ဆလင်များနေထိုင်ရာအာရကန်ကို Rovingaw/ပါရှန်က  Rekan ဟု ခေါ် သည်။)

-The first is that spoken by the Mohammedans,who have been long settled in Arakan,and who call themselves Rooinga,or natives of Arakan.ဟု ဖော်ပြထားသဖြင့် Rovingaw နိုင်ငံက Rooinga လူမျိုးများဟု မှတ်တမ်းတင်ဖော်ပြထားသည်။
